Heritage Museum Volunteer Day of Service
For Orange County's business community and their families
Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This unique, one of a kind, feel-good experience will feature a variety of volunteer projects to participate in, from skilled to unskilled, including:
-
restoration work on two Victorian Homes
-
gardening
-
working in the environmental nature center
-
constructing a raised vegetable garden accessable to physically impaired school children
-
painting balusters around the various porches of a traditional Victorian house of early Orange County
-
painting the carriage barn floor

Victorian Tea Society Presents
A Chocolate Indulgence Tea

Indulge yourself in luscious chocolately goodness at this very special Victorian-style tea. Enjoy the beauty of spring in the shade pavilion overlooking the museum's rose garden. Victorian Tea Society members in lovely 1800s attire will serve fine tea with the traditional savories and scones, followed by a special dessert course featuring chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate.
The Women of the West will model fashions worn between 1865 and 1899, along with amusing cameo performances representing ladies of that era.
The tea will also feature vendors and an opportunity drawing.
Gates open at 11:00, and the tea will begin at 11:30.
Tickets are $32 per person.
