Our Museum is Green!
Our museum teaches students how one hundred
years ago people were reusing, recycling and growing vegetables in their
backyard as the customary way of living. Today, our museum does not
only teaches, but applies its teachings through our every day green operations
including:
• recycle paper, plastic
and aluminium.
• use our own Blacksmith shop for repairs
around the property.
• reuse old lumber and other construction
materials.
• installed environmentally-sensitive irrigation
systems.
• grow our own fruits and vegetables.
• guard the last surviving fresh water
marshes in Santa Ana.
• house a variety of animal and bird life,
as more than 4 acres of our property represent
the
last piece of natural property in Santa Ana.
